Say hello to Muirhouse Brewery, another fantastic brewery that our festival organiser Rob has lined up to showcase its beers this July at the 33rd Ipswich Beer and Cider Festival.
Based in Derbyshire, this fantastic brewery started life in a family garage on a 100-litre plant and today has grown to much bigger premises, brewing twice a week on a 4BBL scale. You’ll find a wide selection of beers in their range, from premium bitters and IPAs to pale ales, stouts, porters and more.
Rob met Muirhouse Brewery founders Richard, Mandy and their son Matthew years ago during their visit to Ipswich to see the tractor boys play at Portman Road. And with regular trips being made to watch Ipswich Town, Rob and Richard often catch up and swap some beer.
If you’ve attended one of the Briarbank’s beer festivals, we’re sure you’ll know these beers well, so it’s only fitting they feature at the 33rd Ipswich Beer and Cider Festival.
But that’s not all. Richard will also be putting together a pallet of beer from further afield for us. It’ll be based on his recommendations of great beers closer to Derby, and we can’t wait to see what he selects.
