Diss based brewery Ampersand Brewery joins the Ipswich Beer and Cider Festival

Let’s meet Ampersand Brewery; they join our latest list of brewers from East Anglia who will showcase their beers in July at the 33rd Ipswich Beer and Cider Festival.

Based in Diss, Ampersand Brewery was initially located in a converted barn on the founder’s family farm. Rob, our festival organiser, first came across Ampersand Brewery in 2020, during lockdown, and it’s fair to say he has been a fan ever since.

Brewing a range of core and seasonal beers, from cask to keg and cans, Ampersand offers a wide range of beers which can be sampled in their tap room or purchased from their online shop.

Rob has been lucky enough to meet and attend a few events with the brewers. In fact, he tells us, they’ve been high on his list of brewers to contact since he started to organise the festival. Last week he took a trip to Diss to spend an afternoon at the brewery tap, which was thoroughly enjoyed!

Whilst the exact beers are yet to be confirmed (make sure you keep an eye on our beers page), we can tell you that we’ll have a mix of cask and keg from them, and we can’t wait to showcase some of their fantastic beers.

If you can’t wait for the Ipswich Beer and Cider Festival in July, we’d recommended taking the train to Diss and spending an evening at the brewery; you won’t be disappointed.

Tickets for the 33rd Ipswich Beer and Cider Festival are now available to purchase. The festival runs between Thursday, 27 July and Sunday, 30 July 2023. Choose between day and weekend tickets, and take advantage of our Early Bird Prices, which ends midnight on 30 June 2023.
